Geoff Rowe is CEO of Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia (ADA Australia), an aged care and disability advocacy service based in Queensland. ADA Australia provides information and advocacy support to more than 3,000 people each year, and delivers more than 500 education sessions to staff and consumers of aged care and community care services across Queensland.
Geoff’s career in human services spans more than 30 years, with half of his career in senior and executive positions in the Queensland Government and the balance in the NFP sector. Geoff is an Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) representative on the National Aged Care Alliance (NACA) and a member of the Notifications & Immediate Action Committees of the Medical Board of Australia. In 2018 Geoff was awarded the prestigious Paul Tys Churchill Fellowship to to examine world’s best practice in preventing and responding to elder abuse in aged care and the community. He has a strong interest in human rights, social justice and inclusion.
